I'm a self-taught queer artist with a passion for color and humor.

Statement

I have been an artist all my life. I was told there was no practical use for it. But I discovered the joys of acrylic painting while suffering from PPD in 2017, and I have not stopped enjoying it since. I have also been sketching and drawing - a medium which still gives me some level of anxiety - since mid-2019. Aside from a handful of public library classes, I've had no training and am still learning. I make my art for myself, but I hope above all else that it can bring joy to others. I wish I had known how therapeutic this journey could be sooner, but I'm grateful to have found it at all. 

Biography

I am a self-taught artist with a business I started in 2020 with some success thus far. I am married with 4 children and reside in Griffith, Indiana. I grew up in the region, primarily Hammond, and have no plans to leave. I also adopt and foster rescue pets, which is a theme that sometimes shows in my art. I believe in the healing power of art.
